A while ago, while digging through my stash, I happened upon a yard of Oodles of Doodles by Ricky Tims. I always thought that this fabric required a special project. And I found the perfect project for it. First, I made this for me.....
It holds my colored pencils...
And then I noticed that I had some OOD fabric left. After I posted my creation I got all kinds of great comments, so I set out and made another one, slightly smaller to hold sharpie markers. That one is now in the hands of the very creative
Gene Black..
And finally there is this one... Slightly different than the one Gene has, but still just as cool... I used a special stitch on the tie.... Hearts! Why hearts? Because my machine doesn't have a ladybug stitch. This one here is going on a trip East across the Mighty Mississippi River. It will spend the rest of its days holding the Sharpie markers of someone who is just as talented as Gene and who currently has her markers in a zippered pouch.
Out of a yard of fabric I was able to make 3 very unique items, thus the limited edition.
I have also created another one for seam rippers out of Frog fabric (get it?? Rip It! Rip It!), but we'll have to wait until
Tonya posts about it so you can see hers.
Piece!
