The top is done! After rushing to get the blocks done over the weekend I managed to get the blocks together and the border on. Now I can scratch this quilt off my list.
It measures 113 1/2 inches long by 83 1/2 inches wide
I have to finish my quilting class project... Have until Oct 1st to get the top done. Working on it as I type this (okay so I've taken a short break to type this). Planning on most of it done by this weekend.
My July 14th post has a pic (top pic with green & yellow) of one of the blocks. It'll be my first sampler quilt. I dunno what I'm gonna do with it yet.
Doesn't it feel great to finish one project and move to the next? I love it. It happens over and over again. Getting to the end of a project is kind of an adrenaline rush. So, how will this lovely be quilted? Or will that decision be made after your class?
And thanks, Greg for your suggestion. I did just as you said, ignored those books and quilted all day. I'm gonna make a great student, right? Chris
I don't have a clue yet as to how it will be quilted. Do I tackle it by hand quilting or do I send out out to the long arm quilter? I'm thinking its time to flip a coin and maybe bust my butt getting projects completed.
Way to go.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Greg!! . . . What's your next project??
