Talk about deadlines!

So a co-worker is expecting his 2nd child in January... No big deal... I have enough time to whip out a quilt and get it to him... Yesterday (Monday) he says that today (Tuesday) will be his last day!! So I come home and create this little baby quilt and a gift for the 2 year old big sister! The parents-to-be are both BIG Kansas Jayhawk fans and I'll bet the lil' one will be too!

The front and back of the baby quilt

And a crayon roll for the big sister .

  1. Greg- Great use of the patterned fabric along with pieced blocks. That makes it look like you did much more work.
    Good Job!

  2. Great job Greg! And boy are you fast! Love the little crayon holder, so cute! They are all going to be happy bunnies!

  3. You are such a nice guy! If I worked with a guy like you, I'd find all kinds of reasons to celebrate and receive gifts!

  4. You are so sweet!

    They are both great looking!

  5. There's nothing like a deadline to get the juices flowing!! Ya gotta love what they do to ya . . . so energizing!!

    Great job, my friend . . .

  6. Adorable quilt and that's so nice of you to think of the big sis. You are quick.. I need to make some of those color roll-ups for my nieces. So cute.

  7. You do great work...and so quickly! I'm impressed. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Brooke!

  8. OH!!!! That crayon roll~ how cute is that??!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Brooke.. may your day be filled with blessings and beauty!

I know... I AM "staff", they are soooo spoiled!

  9. Great Giving Guy!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

  10. Great gifts, Greg. So good of you to think of the big sister too! Is that a D9Patch I see? Isn't it wonderful?

  11. Hi!
Love the crayon roll! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving comments. Seeing a team's fabric in a quilt is also so much fun. There's too many artists who think football is a total waste of time, but I'm an Ohio State fan. It great when we can combine our passions. Thanks again!

  12. Thanks for stopping by! I love that baby quilt! You used my favorite colour pink. I am going to enjoy looking at the rest of your blog with a cuppa coffee, and I will enjoy it for sure.

  13. Sweet quilt and I love the crayon roll!
